Surgery in transition: innovative modernisation of the operating rooms
The Rheintal, Werdenberg and Sarganserland hospital region has decided to modernise and extend the operating theatre wing at the Grabs site. HESS Medizintechnik AG was commissioned to supply and install many powder-coated metal tall cabinets, metal base cabinets and numerous INOX shelving units.
In total, three extensive metal cabinet systems, 38 metal base cabinets and 99 INOX shelves were installed. The mineral-organic composite panels, to which neither dirt nor moisture can adhere thanks to seamless processing, are particularly noteworthy. These panels were also used in the shell of the corridors to the operating rooms to ensure a seamless surface. The metal cabinet system in the recovery room was equipped with a pneumatic tube system and the corresponding control system. Due to the increased warm exhaust air from the refrigerators and the technology, it was necessary to design and integrate a separate exhaust air system.
With these modern and innovative measures, the Rheintal, Werdenberg and Sarganserland hospital region has taken a significant step towards advanced medical care. The successful collaboration with HESS Medizintechnik AG has not only resulted in state-of-the-art equipment for the operating rooms but has also created an optimal environment for patients and medical staff.
