Maximum safety and comfort with the innovative TransChair Top patient transport chair

In order to meet the challenges of everyday hospital life, the St.Gallen Cantonal Hospital (KSSG) has a passenger transport service. The KSSG’s existing transport chairs were replaced after many years of use.

In collaboration with HESS Medizintechnik AG, a new transport chair was developed that meets current needs and fulfils all safety and regulatory requirements. The transport chair developed by HESS is based on a robust, fully welded stainless steel chair frame that can withstand the high mechanical loads during transport journeys. Safety is the top priority, which is why various safety functions have been integrated, including a safety belt and lockable footrests with side step protection. Thanks to an easily adjustable chassis, the chair can be set to three different driving modes.

The transport chair not only offers safety, but also comfort thanks to a high-quality upholstered seat and foldable armrests. All in all, an effective transport system has been created that meets the logistical requirements of everyday hospital life and offers patients maximum comfort and safety.
